Voice Systems Engineer
Responsibilities

Work as a member of the Voice Team to deliver a telco grade cloud based PBX service

Document and review system design, and effectively communicate design decisions to other engineering and non-engineering teams.

React quickly to troubleshoot and fix voice system level problems with Operations and QA teams.

Possess a keen interest in exploring and learning new technologies and applying them to the current system.

Design, implement and deploy cloud based voice services using best practices and sound engineering processes.
Requirements
-
5+ years experience writing software in C / C++
-
Strong knowledge of SIP/RTP protocols
-
5+ years experience with TCP/IP networking
-
Experience with system configuration, shell scripting, perl, PHP or other scripting languages
-
Experience engineering or supporting large scale production voice networks is highly desirable.

Experience dealing with Unix/Linux-based application server deployment/configuration and related performance tuning.

Proven experience with complete product life cycle in a production services environment, including design, implementation, load and scale testing, deployment and maintenance

Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

Experience developing SAAS or Cloud Based services is a plus

Prior experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Familiarity with Product Life Cycle and Agile development methodologies
